Common questions

The questions we get asked before every engagement — answered plainly, in writing.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call with a senior engineer — no sales reps, no sign-up wall. We listen to what you're trying to build, ask the questions we'd ask anyway, and tell you honestly which engagement shape fits — or whether it doesn't. Book one from /start-a-project.

What's the difference between a Sprint and a Project?

A Sprint is one senior engineer working on a scoped piece of work — a feature, a migration, a rescue — for up to two weeks. A Project is two engineers delivering an end-to-end product, MVP, or major feature, with weekly shipping cadence, production deployment, and a post-launch support window. If you're not sure which fits, start with an Audit — we'll tell you.

Can I start with an Audit and roll into a larger engagement?

Yes — that's how most of our long-running projects start. The Audit gives you a written plan with priorities you can act on with us or your own team. If it leads to a Sprint, Project, or Retainer, the audit fee is credited against the next engagement.

Do you sign NDAs and an MSA?

Yes. We sign mutual NDAs before code or sensitive material changes hands. Every engagement runs under our Master Services Agreement, with a per-engagement Statement of Work specifying scope, fees, timeline, and deliverables. No open-ended timesheets.

What stacks do you work in?

React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node, Python, Go, Rails, Postgres, and Supabase, with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD for delivery. We adapt to the stack you already use rather than dragging ours in — picking up an unfamiliar codebase is something we do every month.

Where are you based and what time zones do you cover?

We're a four-person studio based in Tbilisi, Georgia (GMT+4). We work daily with clients across Europe and the US, with overlap windows scheduled into every engagement. Async-first by default, sync when it matters.

How do you bill?

Fixed fees, written into the Statement of Work before any code is touched. Audits and Sprints are billed up front. Projects are milestone-based. Retainers are billed monthly in advance, rolling. No hourly invoices, no surprise overage charges.

What happens if the scope changes mid-engagement?

We re-scope. If something material shifts — a new requirement, a discovery from the work itself — we pause, write a short change order with the impact on timeline and fees, and only proceed once you approve. The original SOW stays honest.

Do you take on non-technical founders or solo clients?

Yes, regularly. About half our work is for founders who can describe what they want to build but don't have an engineering team yet. We handle scoping, decisions, and delivery; you stay in the loop with weekly demos and written updates.

How fast can you start?

Audits and Retainers ramp same-day to one week. Sprints and Projects depend on current capacity — usually one to three weeks out. The engagement note on the homepage reflects our current availability honestly.
